Terms of Service

These Terms govern your use of Swahili World, a social and language-learning service that helps people learn Swahili, share posts, discover community locations, book learning services, and message other users.

Accounts

Swahili World is available only to people aged 18 or over. By creating an account you confirm that you are at least 18 years old. We remove accounts we find to belong to anyone under 18.

You are responsible for the accuracy of your account information and for keeping your sign-in credentials secure. You may not impersonate another person, access another user's account, or use Swahili World if you are banned from the service.

Community Content

You keep ownership of posts, comments, messages, profile content, marketplace listings, map submissions, and other content you submit. By submitting content, you grant Swahili World a worldwide, non-exclusive license to host, store, display, moderate, and distribute that content as needed to operate the app.

Swahili World has zero tolerance for objectionable content or abusive users. You may not submit content that is unlawful, abusive, harassing, hateful, sexually exploitative, infringing, deceptive, or harmful to other users.

Users can filter prohibited text, report objectionable content, and block abusive users in the app. Blocking immediately removes the blocked user's content from the blocker's feed and sends a safety report to Swahili World. We review safety reports within 24 hours and will remove objectionable content and suspend or eject the responsible user when a violation is confirmed.

Learning Services and Messaging

Swahili World may allow users to book tutoring sessions, request services, exchange messages, or join calls. Users are responsible for their own communications and agreements. We may review reports and account activity to enforce these Terms.

Subscriptions and Purchases

Paid app subscriptions are processed through Apple and Google in-app purchase and managed with RevenueCat. Apple or Google, depending on where you downloaded the app, handles payment information, billing, renewals, cancellations, and refund eligibility under that store's terms. Swahili World does not receive your full payment card details.

Location and Maps

The app may show or collect location-related information when you use map features or submit community places. Do not submit private addresses or sensitive locations without permission.

Termination

You may stop using Swahili World at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms, create risk for others, or use the service unlawfully.

Disclaimers

Swahili World is provided as available. We work to keep the service reliable, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access, specific learning outcomes, or that user-generated content will always be accurate.

Changes

We may update these Terms as the service changes. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised Terms.
